was just wondering after you hook-up to the cement wall with your hook, how much rope do you use to drop back away from the wall ?? thanks for any info.

Depends on how far back you want to fish. Start close and work back as far as you want really. There is no magic number. I have seen boats with the bow of the boat just about in the tunnel and then I have seen them back 20 feet.
