the water really isn't far away, if they dredged the main ditch lines they wouldn't have an issue getting water to the pumps not a ton but a good 3 maybe 4 ft worth. they would have to bring it in from the south ditch line along each side of the fuge.

build a Hybrid duck boat. only need about a foot of cover to hide in.

I seen fields get planted the week before July 4th with corn. Farm fields. they were so wet this year, many did not get planted at all. These flood areas I would only guess were wet as "you know".

Stopped @ NQP on Friday and noticed what is being said about the corn. On a positive note there was a ton of rain up there over the weekend and combined with warm weather the corn may be fine by shooting time. Absolutely amazing how all of the other corn I saw in Bay and Arenac was elephant eye high!

Water levels werent bad and are still better than a couple of years ago-I was out in a SE wind and there still was plenty of navigable water to most of my haunts.

Was up there is weekend myself. Area got about another inch of rain over the friday night to sunday afternoon time frame. I think water is about 4 inches above last year in most of the places I hunt. Set the blind out in front of our place this year in the water had to raise it up as the deck was about 3 inches under water.

Many geese in the area. But did not see tons of ducks like have in past years. No BWT's flocks yet. Hope to see them move into the area in the next two weeks. Should be a good year with higher water levels.

On a side note the FISHING in the BAY **SUCKS** Was out all 3 days no Walleye to show for it. But I also didn't run out very far. 5 Miles tops. But none of the local weed beds hold a damn thing.

Good to hear Matt. Sounds like there's hope for some of my (our? ) westside spots this fall.
